It is often useful to be able to show a summary of forthcoming events in "Diary dates" module, typically on the front page of your site:
This shows a compact list of events as a link of links, allowing easy access to the full details. As the date of an event passes, it is automatically excluded from the list.
A separate module mod_ra_events is available. This has to be installed in the usual way (see https://docs.joomla.org/Installing_an_extension), allocated to a position on the page (e.g. sidebar-c) and assigned to one or more pages.
