This web site was created by Charlie Bigley, webmaster of Stoke Newcastle Group, starting in February 2020. Its aim is to provide documention for current and aspiring webmasters of other Ramblers Groups.

The section "Webmasters Guide" is designed for a first-time webmaster who is new to Joomla, and needs to get to grips with the steps necessary to customise a newly created site. You can scroll through it one page at a time using the navigation buttons at the foot of each page, or jump to any particular topic chosen from the index on the left hand side. A printed version of the checklist for necessary steps can be downloaded from the document library.

More detailed information about customisation of the site is available from the menu "Customisation", examples of all the available display formats are available, while technical details of how to write code to access the feeds from Walksfinder are also given.

Please regard this site as work in progress, and don't hesitate to point out errors or ommissions. Even better, please consider providing more content yourself!
