Contacts have to be created from the "back end" of your website. If the name of your site is XXXXramblers.org.uk, then you access the backend by going to XXXXramblers.org.uk/administrator. You will be required to log in, using your email as the "User name" and the password given to you by your webmaster.

When you have logged in,first check that a User record exists for the person in question.
Then return to the main dashboard and look on the left hand side of the screen, and within Components you will an entry for Contacts, and within that another entry for Contacts. This will show you a list of all existing Contacts, above which are some buttons:
Click on button New, and you will see a screen like this:
There are just four fields you have to complete:
- Name - enter the name of the person in question. This will be shown on the website, so give the first name or just the initials as appropriate
- Linked user - click on the little silhouette following "Select a User", and find the corresponding User record
- In field Position, enter the role this person holds on the committee
- Category - select Committee from the drop down list.
If you then Save and Close , you will see this new entry will now be visible from the front end of the website.
Further notes:
- If the holder of a particular post changes, instead of creating a new contact, you can just change the name and Linked User on the existing record.
- If you create a Contact but choose a Category other than Committee, it will be available for selection as Organiser of Events but will not appear on the list of committee members.
